Solar plate etching is a method of reproducing a drawing or image (including photo positive) onto a plate, using the sun. The plate is then inked and run with paper through an intaglio press.
Bring either transparencies of image or drawings done on drafting film or frosted mylar (single matte, (frosted) on one side is better). One 6 x 8 plate will be provided, so images should be slightly bigger than 6 x 8. Paper, ink, and all other print making supplies will be provided. Extra plates will be available for sale for $7.
